Mark Fullbrook

Founder and CEO

Mark has advised Presidents and Prime Ministers, not only in the United Kingdom, but from South America to Sri Lanka and across much of Africa and the Middle East.


Mark is an acknowledged expert campaigner and strategist. Boris Johnson personally asked him to mastermind his successful campaign to become Leader of the Conservative Party. 


When Boris Johnson left Office, Mark was asked by Liz Truss to be the Director of her Leadership campaign. Upon becoming Prime Minister, he joined her in Government as her Chief of Staff.  


A former Head of Campaigning for the UK Conservative Party, Mark specialises in solving political problems; crisis management; grassroots organisation, and targeted, research-driven political and commercial campaigns. 


Others he has advised range from the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich on his successful campaign to win control of the U.S. Congress, (Newt described Mark as The UK’s Lee Atwater) to Nobel Peace Prize winner, Lord David Trimble on the Peace Process in Northern Ireland and elections during that time.


He regularly acts as an advisor to a number of CEOs of major international businesses.

Alice Robinson

Founder and Managing Director, Government Affairs

Alice brings 14 years’ experience working in the House of Commons running Westminster offices for parliamentarians, parliamentary private secretaries and members of the cabinet. 


She has worked on numerous political campaigns – including from start to finish Boris Johnson’s campaign to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. 


Prior to this she ran Boris Johnson’s Parliamentary office for seven years.


Most recently Alice was a Special Advisor in Number 10 Downing Street.

Mac Chapwell

Founder and Managing Director, Campaigns

Mac is an experienced campaigning professional who has worked on campaigns in the UK, Middle East and Africa. 


Mac has worked in Parliament for a UK cabinet minister, and advised on strategic communications and grassroots organisation for the Northern Ireland Economy Minister.


Mac was named 'Campaign Manager of The Year’ after the 2019 General Election, managing the campaigns of 3 marginal MPs, who won with increased majorities. 


Most recently, Mac was a Political Advisor to the Prime Minister in 10 Downing Street.

Sir Jake Berry

General Counsel and COO

Jake is a former Chairman of the Conservative Party and was a Member of Parliament between 2010 & 2024. Jake held several ministerial offices including in the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Energy and Climate Change and the Cabinet Office at Cabinet Level.


Jake is a qualified solicitor with 23 years corporate experience. He has also founded several businesses’ in the green energy sector including one that is now listed on the London Stock Exchange. Jake advises UK and international businesses including national retailers and FTSE 200 companies.


Jake has also been a regular columnist for the Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Express. He has hosted his own national television show and remains a weekly contributor to both regional and national media. Jake is exceptionally well connected to the UK Media.

Matthew Laza

Senior Advisor

A former senior advisor and Head of Broadcast for Ed Miliband as Labour leader, Matthew was a key part in Labour's preparations for the 2015 general election campaign alongside figures like Rachel Reeves and Jonathan Reynolds.


He is now a leading political commentator on UK news outlets and offers strategic communications advice to select clients, including an EU Prime Minister.


Previously, as Director of Policy Network, he organized global summits with leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, helping renew Labour’s approach.


Earlier, he was the national coordinator of Young Labour in the run up to Tony Blair’s 1997 victory and spent over a decade in political television for the BBC and ITV. He continues to advise senior Labour figures.

James Earle

Director, Embassy Support and MENA

James is an expert in international affairs and government relations. In the UK he has worked as an adviser in No 10, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the former Department for International Trade.


At the FCDO he was an adviser to the Foreign Secretary where he specialised in Middle Eastern and North African Affairs, economic and national security, and relations with the UK Parliament. As an adviser to the UK’s Trade Secretary he developed, for the first time since the 1970s, the process for parliamentary scrutiny of international trade agreements. He also led on the Department’s engagement with a range of stakeholders, including unions, businesses, and Parliament.


He most recently served as the Prime Minister’s Head of Legislative Affairs in 10 Downing Street.

Jonathan Collett

Director, Research and Insights

Jonathan specialises in research and crisis communications.


He is also a skilled copywriter who has written speeches for Prime Ministers around the world.


Jonathan has worked on elections in the UK, Ghana, Tanzania and Zanzibar, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and Grenadines, Sri Lanka, Poland, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.


He was awarded Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for outstanding work for the Leader of the Conservative Party and in the media, advertising and consultancy sectors

Mitchell Goldie

Director, Campaigns

Mitchell has worked in Parliament for a high-profile Member of Parliament and former Secretary of State. Managing the MPs Parliamentary and constituency office, plus leading on all the campaigning efforts. Ranking the MP the number one campaigning incumbent out of their colleagues.  


He has worked on numerous political campaigns such as the successful 2016 Vote Leave campaign, 2019 General Election and Liz Truss leadership campaign. Most recently Mitchell chaired the 2024 re-election campaign of Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP, increasing the majority from 1262 to 4,757.

Tony Devenish

Director, Infrastructure and Property

Tony began his career in the nuclear industry before transitioning to coal-fired power generation and major electrical transmission export projects. His work took him across the Middle East, Far East, and Eastern Europe. After returning to the UK in the late 1990s, Tony joined the PPP/PFI market with the country’s leading listed water company at the time and gained extensive experience in partnership and joint venture projects.


Over the past decade, he has built a portfolio career that includes strategic roles in local government, development, construction, and energy.

Simon Fell   

Director, Anti-Fraud and Financial Crime

Simon has an extensive background in public service, not-for-profit leadership, and business. He brings a wealth of expertise in tackling financial crime and supporting vulnerable people. 


As the former MP for Barrow & Furness, Simon served on the Home Affairs Select Committee, chaired the Parliamentary groups on Cyber Security and AUKUS, and led the Government’s work on fraud as the Prime Minister’s Anti-Fraud Champion. He spearheaded significant local development initiatives, securing over £220 million in investment to support the Furness region's economy and infrastructure.

 

Prior to his parliamentary career, Simon worked for over a decade with some of the biggest companies in the UK to prevent fraud and other financial crimes, with a particular passion for supporting vulnerable people.

Matt Qvortrup

Director, Referendums & Neuropolitics

Matt is a globally recognised expert on referendums and political strategy and an acknowledged pioneer of neuropolitics.

 

Skilled in crafting political messages and public opinion, Matt has advised Presidents, Parliaments and Prime Ministers in the UK, EU, USA, South America and Australia on referendums, campaigning, and policy. 

 

He is the author of over fifteen books, including The Political Brain: The Emergence of Neuropolitics, his acclaimed study on how emotions drive voter behaviour in political campaigns. 

 

He received his doctorate at Oxford University, and has taught at world leading universities, including the LSE, Sorbonne and the Australian National University. 

Rory Boden

Associate Director, Infrastructure, Property and Defence Services

Rory is an experienced communications and government relations practitioner.


He has advised people ranging from Prime Ministers and Cabinet Ministers to senior business leaders on how best to reach their target audience.


Previously, Rory’s roles have included working as a Government Special Adviser, a media consultant and working for a senior member of the Defence Committee, where he co-authored a report for the Prime Minister on military housing. Prior to working in politics, Rory worked for Knight Frank.

Niall Donnelly 

Associate Director, AI

Niall completed his master’s degree in occupational and organisational psychology at the University of Surrey, before switching to the University of Exeter to complete a PhD in artificial intelligence. 



Additionally, Niall works with the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge, where he conducts artificial intelligence (AI) experiments. His research mainly focuses on the intersections between previous psychological research, and current AI practices.


David Hintze

Associate Director, Campaigning

David has contributed to multiple election campaigns, most notably Boris Johnson’s 2019 Leadership Campaign in which he conducted opposition research. More recently, he assisted in the re-election campaign during the 2024 UK General Election for a former Secretary of State.


He has travelled widely, visiting over 75 countries.


He attended the University of York to study Human Geography and the Environment. 

Anja Wiedemann-Bates

Head of Delivery

Anja has over 15 years of experience managing Parliamentary offices and supporting senior Members of Parliament, including Ministers and Cabinet Ministers.


Her expertise includes team leadership, office management, and delivering effective coordination across Whitehall. In her most recent role, Anja served as Head of Office to Greg Hands.


Throughout her career in Westminster, she has played a key role in numerous campaigns, most recently the 2024 General Election.


Beyond her work in politics, Anja successfully ran her own business for several years.


Anja is a graduate of Konstanz University and is fluent in both German and English.

Millie Hamilton

Executive Assistant

Millie Joined FSL in June 2022. She brings 12 years of Parliamentary experience having worked as Chief of Staff to Jo Johnson throughout his time in office.

 

Millie also acted as MP liaison to the Prime Minister's Policy Board, working with backbench MPs and the PM's Special Advisers to bring forward policy proposals for the 2015 General Election manifesto.

 

From 2014 to 2017, Millie supported Jo Johnson and Global Counsel in the running of Prabodhan, an EU-Indo leaders conclave bringing together heads of sectors from India and Europe to discuss cross-jurisdictional policy and trade alignment, supported by the Treasury and No.10.
